There are many things that we could send to life forms that are out there in the vastness of the universe. However, these are the most useful. The Record Player is an obvious choice. Since we are putting the information on a record, there is nothing else that they would be able to access the Golden Record with. We would take a phone and an i9 processor simply because if there is life out there, they’re either more advanced, as advanced, or less advanced than us. If they aren’t as advanced, having technology like a phone and an i9 processor at such an early stage of civilization could fast forward their civilization or become obsolete. As of right now, the i9 processor is one of the fastest mainstream processors. As for the phone, most phones nowadays are even more powerful than the Saturn V rocket, which was able to take us all the way to the moon, so this could potentially prove our intelligence to an extraterrestrial species.
